Earlier today it was announced the the Utah Jazz will be trading for the Minnesota Timberwolves Ricky Rubio. This will give Utah a viable replacement for impending free agent George Hill, who is known to be leaving this summer. Rubio averaged 11.1 ppg and 9.1 apg, almost averaging a double-double for the season. It seems that, with this move, the Jazz are trying their best to keep Gordon Haywood in Utah. Haywood is having meetings with the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics this weekend, and with the Jazz on Monday. He is likely to make a decision sometime next week. Many are concluding that even with the culture in Miami and the loyalty-factor in Utah, he will most probably sign with Boston, including myself.

Minnesota Timberwolves: 2018 1st Round pick (From OKC)

In addition to the trade, sources say that teams around the NBA, including the Knicks, are in belief that Jeff Teague will sign with Minnesota and will stop pursuing him. (According to @ESPNSteinLine) If Teague does sign with the Timberwolves, he would be Rubio’s replacement and upgrade. This move also brings a veteran maturity level and mentor to the younger stars in Minnesota (Wiggins and Towns).
